Rationalization Status Definitions
Rationalization occurs in the ADD mode only, so units that are currently in service now can be accessed and serviced.
GREEN:
This is the code that stands for channels that are open for ALL transactions. NO restrictions are placed on this rationalization type.
YELLOW:
This is the code that stands for channels that are loaded or slated for rationalization. The restrictions will not allow growth on this channel.
Users will see the
YELLOW
error message:
"Rationalized Status; Cannot Add or Swap".
The following is the criteria:
Pagers may NOT be added through an unlike swap IF the old unit is a different channel.
Pagers MAY be added through an unlike swap if the old unit is the same channel.
Pagers MAY be like swapped (if same channel).
Pagers that are end dated MAY be reinstated back into service.
RED:
This is the code that stands for channels that have been flagged for DELETION! NO growth is allowed. Users will see the following error messages for
RED
rationalization:
"Rationalized Status; Cannot Add or Swap or Reinstate".
The following is the criteria:
Pagers may NOT be added into service with a phone number.
Pagers may NOT be reinstated back into service (a message will display during the end date process warning the user that the pager may not be reinstated).
Pagers may NOT be added through a swap (like or unlike).
BLACK:
This is the code that stands for channels that have been taken down (DELETED). Users will see the following error messages for
BLACK
rationalization:
"Rationalized Status; Cannot Add or Swap or Reinstate".
The following is the criteria:
Pagers may NOT be added into service with a phone number.
Pagers may NOT be reinstated back into service (a message will display during the end date process warning the user that the pager may not be reinstated).
Pagers may NOT be added through a swap (like or unlike)
